At ARA, each thread tells a story—one of cultural narratives, passed down through generations. We are carriers of the wisdom of generations, preserving the artistry of African women who have perfected the craft of textile making. Rooted in tradition, refined for today, our designs celebrate the harmony of cultural legacy and modern sophistication.
We believe that fashion is more than adornment—it's identity, history, and a declaration of pride. From intricate handwoven fabrics to carefully curated details, every piece reflects a commitment to authenticity and excellence.
The name ARA means "woven to last," a philosophy that defines everything we create. We embrace slow fashion, ensuring that every stitch is intentional, every pattern tells a story, and every piece holds the essence of the artisans who made it.
Founder & Creative Director
For Aderemi Adesina, fashion is more than fabric—it is history, identity, and a living art form. Growing up in a family that cherished traditional craftsmanship, she was surrounded by the vibrant colors of handwoven textiles.
With a background in textile design and cultural preservation, Aderemi traveled across West Africa, immersing herself in the diverse weaving traditions of Nigeria, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire. Inspired by the resilience and artistry of female artisans, she founded ARA —a brand dedicated to preserving these ancient techniques while redefining African fashion for the modern woman.
"Our textiles tell stories—of strength, beauty, and tradition. With every piece, we honor the past while shaping the future."

Each thread carries history, blending African heritage with craftsmanship to create timeless fashion for the modern muse.
Inspired by artisans, each design honors tradition, weaving culture, resilience, and elegance into timeless fashion.
Designed to last, our collections fuse durability and sophistication, celebrating strength, grace, and intentional style.

Experience the perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Each piece is an invitation to walk with confidence, grace, and a piece of history.
